WHO: All 6th -12th graders from across the Archdiocese of New Orleans are invited to attend; groups from parish youth ministry programs, religiouseducation/ Confirmation classes, and schools are very welcome and encouraged! The junior high track is grades 6-7, and the high school track is for grades 8-12.
WHAT: The Archdiocesan Youth Conference held as part of the annualnational celebration of World Youth Day! There will be inspirational speakers, workshops to deepen our faith and learn about teen issues, celebration of the Eucharist with Archbishop Gregory Aymond, praise & worship music, prayer opportunities, exhibitors and much more!
WHEN: Sunday November 4th, 9am-5pm
WHERE:Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, New Orleans
Theater, La Nouvelle Ballroom & Meeting Rooms (enter at Hall I)
WHY: To join young people from across the greater New Orleans area in celebrating the young Catholic Church of the Archdiocese of New Orleans; to gather,affirm, break open, and send forth!
*All those attending must fill out the permission slip below and be registered members of SJCCYO. Membership forms can be found under the “Membership Forms” tab on the website and include a membership profile and a medical/liability form. These only need to be filled out and turned in once per school year.
Junior high participants will rotate through three workshops presented by members of Teen CROSS. High School participants will have choices from among a dozen workshops in two rounds. Because of the increased space at the convention center, tickets will not be needed for these; each room has a capacity of over 200 people. A list of workshops/break-out sessions for high school delegates will be posted at www.wydno.com as they are confirmed.
